August 29 to 7 September III Joining the dots

I love how life presents serendipitous moments! Having just ‘discovered’ the link between milkweed, a pollinator species - discovered a few days ago in Moncton but which I knew nothing about - and the stalwart Monarch butterfly, what did we see today? Monarch butterflies!  They were fluttering out over the water of Lake Ontario. How strange I thought. There is nothing out there for them - until I found out that we were on their migratory flight path to Mexico.  We are actually in the flight path of a few hundred different bird species as well!

Look just above the sign on this ferry and there’s a butterfly- a Monarch Butterfly! Wow

Milk weed snapped in zmoncton by the river.
