The vista quite different without the sun.
And we did go back into the Alpine National Park a few days later to visit Bryce Gorge, an impressive ravine with a couple of big waterfalls - they say!
There were patches of snow amongst the trees and the road was very slick
We had a picnic lunch by a lake!
Wouldn’t you know it we hit bad weather and had to turn back with only 5 or so km to go. It gets a bit scary on the roads up there in the wet and with fog rolling in. C’est la vie! No walk that day.
